Funny thing about last night's LSC meeting is LATHAM sang the praises of KnowAtom but gosh darn it was just too expensive to continue but the actual cost was left off the budget so NO ONE could compare costs. From what information I have the cost was close to what they are spending for elementary science this year and KA included MIDDLE SCHOOL.
DON'T FORGET TO FACTOR IN THE COST FOR THE "DOG AND PONY" SHOW "SCIENCE from SCIENTISTS" WHICH IS ONLY FOR WASHINGTON SCHOOL AND WE MAY WELL BE PAYING MORE THIS YEAR FOR AN "UNTESTED, UNPROVEN" PROGRAM.
PLUS WE ARE HAVING TO PAY FOR THE ASST. DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM FOR SCIENCE'S SALARY OF ABOUT $90,000 THAT WAS PAID FOR OUT OF "RACE TO THE TOP MONEY" LAST YEAR.
