This a GREAT thing. It's always good for KIDS to have something to do and someplace to go.
BUT. . .
I do have a couple of nagging questions. I couldn't help but notice it's taking place at KIPP this summer, great facility. I do wonder if any money is changing hands. Maybe it's a free rental, I mean charter schools are public schools, aren't they? That's not to say that the CITY lets LPS get off scott-free.
They do charge LPS to use MANNING FIELD I believe and then there are those mercenaries from INSPECTIONAL SERVICES that masquerade as janitors. Wait though that pencil whipping sends money TO the city NOT to the schools.
So it would be proper to ask if the CITY pays the schools when LTVI serves as host for these DROP-INs. I am sure the some people almost pull their shoulders out of socket there is so much actuarial manipulating going on.
So how does all of this AFFECT our NET SCHOOL SPENDING deficit? I thought so.
