Per an updated February report from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, public education in Lynn was underfunded by $17,312,312 in FY14 which resulted in a $8,623,703 penalty (loss in state aid).
In FY15, Lynn received a net school spending waiver of $1,427,633. Still, public ed is currently underfunded by $18,555,106 which could mean an additional penalty of $9,538,282.
