A NEW DEFINITION

Gordon College states its case

Seems what is old is new again.
Discussions about who has the right to define sin.

Rules of Life and Conduct they must bend
To become our new found friend.

Everyone will play with words in the end
Whatever it takes for our students to win.

    1. He is on the school committee. How could he hate little children? The school committee is a stepping stone for higher office like state rep which he used the gordon issue for political gain. I agree. He hates little children.

    2. I don't know. Little children don't VOTE. Funny though, their parents do.

    3. The children lost here. No one else. Gallo was loser, so he had nothing lose.

    4. Gallo should recuse himself from the next vote. fact- he is the same height as children, and this could be the cause of his immaturity.

  2. Harrington School is not in the district Gallo ran for state rep

    1. Harrington was not the only school affected. It's more about public perception. With dwindling dollars, we can't afford to be turning away resources.

  3. So if the Klan wanted to do a free breakfast program you idiots would welcome that money? What is wrong with you people!? Find a new hobby this was boring six months ago. You have nothing substantial to offer, you useless pack of haters.

    1. Funny Greg, it was so boring six months ago, yet you continue to read and comment on it. Since you brought up idiots, only an idiot would compare the Klan to one of the best liberal arts colleges in the country.

    4. How does helping children with gaining more teachers in education make "you people" as haters?

This anonymous person who made the ridiculous comment must not have children or hated having extra teachers in school. Only trolls Follow issues for 6 months even if they don't care about the topics. Sounds like an ass living in downtown Lynn without kids. Get a life!

  4. Bottom line this is about helping the children. There was no substitute for the program loss. None

  5. I can think of a substitute: nothing. Because there is no program. Some nose miner came to elementary schools and blew snot bubbles and observed students learning from real teachers. All the while calling a hateful, bigoted institution their school of choice. You all continue to be obsessed with a non-issue because it provides some sense of purpose in your utterly meaningless lives. Yes, meaningless. Because people who stand shoulder to shoulder with assholes who are actively discriminating against a group of people for idiotic reasons have no use to modern society.

    1. the church also discriminates against siblings getting married and cousins. I suppose you want everyone to love the same color. Face it people have different beliefs. Get used to it G/S

    2. And just because the church doesn't allow siblings or cousins to marry it doesn't mean the church is bigoted towards siblings or cousins. To thesaurus point the church loves everyone brothers sisters cousins gays. but there are certain rules behind the sacred marriage in some religions. Just respect people have a right to different beliefs. If you can't comprehend any of this, then it's your problem

Do you respect people's right to believe in slavery? WE NEED MORE TOLERANCE IN THIS DEBATE FOR CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!!

  6. Children do not belong to the government. Government belongs to the people!

  7. Lovely discussion but let me repeat my main point. LBGT students have to pass the MCAS too. Argueing over which group has the right to discriminate only guarantees that the kids lose.

    1. I agree the arguing is pointless - because it does a few things.

      1) Creates the illusion that there is a substantial program - there isn't. Some kid from Gordon reads to a student for one hour once a week at three elementary schools. Tweak the school curriculum even slightly at congratulations! You replicated the irreplaceable Gordon College program.

      2) You've just aligned yourself with the losers of history. Can you imagine how stupid you're going to look even five years from now? You are now in league with the same class of people who opposed interracial marriage because the world wasn't ready for it or because you were really just looking out for the interests of those two, because, you know...think of the children who'll have to suffer!

      3) It creates the illusion that this should be an argument at all. You people who want Gordon in the schools have no leg to stand on. Not one. You're like the climate change deniers who get equal screen time to a climate scientist on cable news. People think this is a substantial conversation between two legitimate grieving parties: it's not.

    2. I am glad Greg clarified his points because it shows just how misinformed and uneducated he is about the relationship Gordon College has had with Lynn Schools for over a decade. It also shows that he, like so many others, either did not read the letter to Obama, or simply did not understand what the letter stated. I also find it amusing that he continues to claim this issue is boring and pointless, yet he clearly is intrigued and obsessed with it since he continues to read and comment on it.

  8. So I guess Gallo has no ears? Otherwise everyone would be trying to grab his vote for reconsideration?
