DON'T LET FORD REST IN PEACE

I know it is NOT FAIR to pre-judge the selection of the NEW Ford School principal because I am not privy to all her qualifications.

PERSONNEL MATTERS ARE CONFIDENTIAL.

Then again since when has not knowing about something ever stopped me from offering an opinion I just have an uneast feeling about DATA-DRIVEN ORIENTATIONS. You see sometimes, well data-driven vehicles make you end up at the WRONG place. Take me for example, there was plenty of DATA that said I should be DEAD or at the very least an OCCUPANT of the INTERNATIONAL GARDEN.

Thank Goodness my parents weren't SMART enough to know better or maybe, just maybe thry actually DID.

Just thought I'd offer up this FAQ sheet to remind some people that -

THE WHOLE IS MORE THAN A SUM OF THE PARTS.

  1. Data-Driven is great if each teacher is in a loop with her students' parents, and the parents are brought into the school loop to know what kinds of classifications their child has, based on what scores, and what improvement vehicles are provided in the school. Middle class parents pay all sorts of back-up folk to keep them informed about their children, including all the "medical" labels of ADD, ADHD, etc. and how to remediate their children "out of" their labels. In Lynn, though the poor,"labeled", sub group kids are dumped into certain schools and given bread and circus "fun" and "high engagement" to just keep them around so that funds can come in, and be channeled into programs for certain other folks' children whose parents due to their neighborhood locations, family histories, etc. "matter" to those calling the shots.
