I was at a SCHOOL IMPROVEMEMT COUNCIL meeting at FORD yesterday and the bus transporting the 5 year-olds from the KINDERGARTEN CENTER on COMMERCIAL STREET was FORTY minutes late. This was not the first time. Some parent was saying the hold-up was due to 2 CDC-Early Intervention kids. I do't know this is a bad time of the year to have people (kids included) waiting around in the OLD. Better get BETTER oordination.
What is more troubling to me is the apparent lack of computer access to those kids. Say ut isn't so. The fact that we will probably going to an on-line assessment testing model makes it all the more important that we teach early proficiency.
