LYNN SCHOOL MATH: 1+1=1

Looks like the new middle schools will have a COMMON DOOR CURRICULUM. I understand the cost savings proported. It is cheaper to build one than two, even my backwoods ciphering coulds figured that one out, but don't insult my intelligence (what little I have) by trying to convince me this one is really two.

It is kind of like telling someone that their two bedroom apartment is really two seperate houses. Using this logic, a three bedroom apartment could be its own cul-de-sac

  1. Is the plan to have all Breed and Pickering students attend this 2 in 1 school? So we are talking about 2000 plus students attending this new 2 in 1 school, sharing one cafeteria, one gym and one auditorium? Currently, middle and high schools that have less students than that are forced to have 3 lunch periods that began shortly after breakfast around 10 am and there still are issues of students not having enough time to eat or in some cases, even get a lunch. Now they believe they will be able to feed more students? I won't even get into the absolute nightmare the traffic will be in Wyoma Square and Parkland Ave. These areas are already a traffic nightmare without this new project.

    1. I really haven't heard any plaans to close Breed, I imagine there will just be some heavy redistricting.
