I hear that each teacher has been FORCED to wear a key that LOCKS or UNLOCKS every classroom in EVERY school. I am sure this was done in an abundance of caution, so that EVERY door can be SECURED in the event of some LOCKDOWN.
A lot of responsibility to be placing on people you don;t even think deserve a respectable pay raise.
You know what else this new policy does to puts our FIRST RESPONDERS TO THE MASSES at RISK and they want to do it on the cheap. All any criminal has to do is KNOCK OVER a teacher and they will have a key to the kingdom.
WHAT'S NOT IN YOUR WALLET?
Different systems for different buildings, some have 2 keys some have none. If you have none and get stuck in the hallway with students during a lock down you can't get into a room because they are all locked all day. So you're as good as dead if there is real danger.
