DOLLAR DAZE IV - CALL ME STEM SHADY

Someone please help me. I get confused sometimes, darn ole brain damage. You see last year WASHINGTON STEM SCHOOL had a $50,000 line in their budget for a STEM lab. I don't recall seeing that line on any other school's page. They all got a $600 line for STEM supplies. All yeah, WASHINGTON got that line too. Yet KnowAtom cost around $240,000 for the ENTIRE district K - 8. Let's divide the cost by the number of students served and come up with the better value, okay? It seems like I am not the only one not good with math.

Well this year, I guess we won't have to struggle to make that comparison. KnowAtom is no more. The belt tightening has hit WASHINGTON SCHOOL too. Not only will they not have KnowAtom but their STEM lab budget line has been cut to $30,000 although a somewhat VAGUE line did show up on their budget page.

Okay maybe it's not vague, it's just a slush fund of $15,000 set out to pay for SCIENCE from SCIENTISTS (Why not for POETRY from POETS?). I am glad they aren't learning about BRAIN SURGERY from PROCTOLOGISTS. Maybe some in the administration already has.

  1. Incorrect information. Several elementary schools had Know Atom in grades 3-5 only, not in K-2.

    1. Thank you for that additional info cause after all I was asking for help. Still though, to compare apples to oranges, everybody has to have fruit.

    1. Lol, you A's kill me. You take great pleasure pointing out minor mistakes on small details while IGNORING how RIGHT I am about the BIG picture!
