CUTTING AND RUNNING

COUNCIL PRESIDENT CAHILL and fellow COUNCILMAN HONG NET arrived at the FRASER FIELD fresh from a PUBLIC HEARING on the potential of putting this year's primary out to pasture. The fact that only one person spoke in opposition to the proposal seems to have sealed the deal.

Although COUNCIL PRESIDENT CAHILL shares with me mixed feelings about the prospect of restricting the democratic process, concern for the financial state of the city does take precedence. While not committing where the proceeds from the one-time cancellation would be placed, CAHILL did acknowledge the city owed the schools a ton of money and agreed with me that proceeding with a pointless process was not the most financially responsible thing to do

What ya gonna do, huh? The price of our freedom is apparently apathy.
