In what seems too be a too carefully constructed to be a casual coincidence, CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT DAN CAHILL walked off with the proceeds of the purse for the 50-50 raffle tonight at the NORTH SHORE NAVIGATORS game, possibly making off with $50 in small unmarked bills.
Cahill was careful to make sure that the pot was plump as probably a good portion of the chances were purchased by his party. His sneakiness did not stop there though. No, always the perfect politician he bribed the proper person, me, to insure appropriate attention was attributed to his dastardly deeds. As I have previously proclaimed since I am poor the price for my soul is available for bargain basement sale prices. Tonight's purchase only cost a cheeseburger and a slice of pizza.
Asked if the night's winnings would be reported a result of campaign finance requirements. To this he answered, uh the money is all going to the people muttering as he walked away. He did turn around though and ask me if I wanted anything to drink. A politician who has his priorities in proper perspective.
To be fair, Dan won the raffle but immediately donated the winnings to Navigators staff working the game.
