Was honored to get to attend the FRIDAY NIGHT FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP tonight to listen to two candidates for the LSC speak and answer some thoughtful questions about the role of the school committee and how the candidates would work for these parents. For those of you who don't recognize them, that's NATASHA M&M on the left and DOLORES DIFILLIPO on the right. They were the only candidates there due to some confusion and scheduling conflicts. I am sure the rest of the candidate would be welcomed to stop by the YMCA on most FRIDAY nights @ 6pm to not only chew the fat but have a bite to eat as well.
Tonight DOLORES'S message was her promise to be both a strong and vocal voice when elected. NATASHA pointed to her background as a lawyer and stressed her ability to work together with other parents and school committee members to achieve the desired results.
In the picture below you will see the pair joined by DALENE BASDEN who runs the group and has volunteered as a SPECIAL OLYMPICS coordinator for LPS for some twenty years
