Due to the fact that the students are of course underage, details are necessarily in short supply but it looks like the LEAP program will start serving sixth graders. Evidently there are a couple of students with serious felony charges that would make it less than safe to educate in the regular classroom. Because we are obligated by law to provide for their education it was thought that this was the best way possible since the younger students could be kept away from the older ones easily enough. There was some misgivings but this was thought to be the best option.
