SOMETIMES A NEW IDEA IS AN OLD ONE

#7 on your ballot on Nov. 3rd.

This is the fifth in a series of conversations with candidates for office in the City of Lynn.

Perhaps NATASHA would do better to educate herself on what actually is going on at LPS and how the system works. In fact another attorney, outgoing LSC member CHUCK already made that issue an issue. He pushed for and got re-established a GRANTS subcommittee some four years ago.

In fact he did one better, he pushed for development of a PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP PERSON (who we hired part-time, a couple years ago to go after grants and gifts). A friendly 503 was set up by the BUSINESS ED FOUNDATION to filter in private donations so LPS could compete with CHARTER SCHOOLS in going after grants from outside sources. There was a big splash in the paper, I guess you didn't get that copy.Ex-WRAP-AROUND person DR. WU and CURRENT PROGRAM SUPERVISOR at HOOD has found a few grants that we currently get. Maybe you missed all that because the money available from GRANTS is minuscule compared to the NEEDS.

IT DOESN'T HELP TO REINVENT THE WHEEL IF YOU HAVE A BAD ENGINE.
