LET'S LEARN ABOUT CHUCK'S CONCERN

Now CHUCK's somewhat sincere concern about the taxpayers getting SHORTchanged and not getting their money's worth from DONNA COPPOLA's civil service surely will be OUTRAGED when he finds out that the LSC will have one less meeting than we thought he and the other FIVE members (not to mention the MAYOR) signed up for when they solicited our votes.

I am sure he will champion a crusade to return a prorated portion of that taxpayer funded STIPEND. When you multiply that amount by the other member's shares in addition to retro-reiibursements for canellations due to the holidays, CHUMP CHANGE becomes a CHUNK OF CHANGE.

When school gets cancelled the kids have to make it up on the other end. They signed up for 180 days of school a year, that's the law. Why do our our POLITICIANS to shirk their responsibilities?

Thank you CHUCK for pointing out we should DEMAND nothing less than TOTAL commitment from our elected servants.

You can make out your check to the taxpayers of LYNN or you could push to reschedule the missed meeting!

  1. Snow days leaving you wanting attention, Stanley? Sounds like you're stirring it up because you happen to be bored today.

  2. Let's see if Gallo writes a letter to the mayor complaining about all the cancelled school committee meetings. Hypocrisy at its best!

  3. What about the canceled Council meetings or worse all the 15 minute meetings?

    1. There have been many, many more meetings that have gone for hours than those that have gone 15 minutes!!

  4. City council meetings are a joke. The only things the council has accomplished is giving themselves a raise and letting the Mayo group open up a boarding house.

  5. Awe! Picking on poor Mr. Gallo. Each event you mention is shared and equal amongst the members. Snow days, canceled meetings , postponed meetings etc.. There are rules to follow for those occasions. Charlie has spent much time at meetings and is very visible. As a lawyer, I am pretty sure he could make more money doing other things. Since many of them put in hours outside of their meetings, I think a canceled meetings is not a big deal if there is good reason. On the other hand, not showing up to meetings and not pulling your weight is an issue that does need to be addressed and there does not appear to be any rules for those situations.

  6. Interesting Stanley, Charlie Gallo brought to public attention and issue. You could say he was a "whistle blower" of sorts. This is something I think you would have done if given the opportunity. You have of late been trying to cast his actions in negative light. It seems to me that you are doing to him what others try to do to you. I think you need to take two steps back and look at who is really being the hypocrite.

  7. Check back on old posts, coming up short on meetings predates CHUCK'S tenure on the LSC. There you(and maybe he) go again. It's not all about him. It has not been the actual cancellation that has bothered me, it's the failure to ATTEMPT to make it up. When the kids have a snow day that means they have to go a day longer in the summer. The FEDS say they have to go 180 days a year and they don't play. CHUCK just can't help calling attention to himself and I thank him for that because he makes my task so easy. I follow the PATRIOTS mantra: DO YOUR JOB!
