CHUCK'S CHEAP SHOT

Gallo accuses Coppola of ‘dereliction’ of duty

Now CHUCK will hold a grudge
Even though his own record he sometimes does fudge.

Some may say he is petty
But I think we have established already

That no way he can stand tall
Cause to him it's natural to be small.

So it should come as no surprise
On the backs of others he tries to rise.

  1. It is good that Gallo has the courage to speak up - too bad people would not say something about the Mayor always be late and missing many School Committee meetings and open mic opinions. Lynn people cover up so much that members are allowed to get away with absences and tardiness. Corporate Boards have in their rules that a certain number of absences means an automatic removal from a committee. What does Lynn rules say?

    1. awe gawd they both need to go.

WHY IS NO ONE COMPLAINING THAT UNION BARGAINING IS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! THIS IS PUBLIC FUNDING. UNIONS ARE ACTING LIKE LEGAL CRIMINALS.

Gallo is 75% correct. He could have waited for another absentee before crying to the mayor. There are existing rules on boards.

The Mayor IS 90% WRONG. She should remove poor functioning members from any committee.

aw gawd Ford? How can Ford say absence doesn't matter, when performance does. how can one perform when one is absent from meetings?

Coppola is crafty. It is poor of her to turn the spot light on Gallo, by crying 'sour grapes'. There is no excuse unless Donna only cares about labor affairs when it comes to electing her boyz.

    2. Actually since Coppola is a member of NSLC and active union member, is it right that she is bargaining for the unions? Plus her daughter is a teacher at Ford and son in fire department so know where she will always stand.

    3. Why is Donna Coppola bargaining with the unions when she is a union member? Gallo should report her conflict of interest to the state!!!

    4. Never thought I'd see the words "coppola" and "crafty" in the same sentence.

  2. As a school committee member, Charlie Gallo is suppose to sit and listen to what the public has to say at open mic. People who speak at open mic do so because they have questions, comments and concerns. However, if you recall, there was an incident where Charlie got up and walked out of the room when I got up to speak at open mic. The incident occurred after I sent the committee an email regarding the Gordon College decision, and Charlie responded telling me not to include him in any more emails regarding the issue and that my emails (which contained questions and concerns about the decision) rise to the level of harassment. I think a school committee member who does not wish to hear the questions, comments and concerns of a parent and resident of Lynn and actually gets up and walks out of the room, is a blatant display of dereliction and disrespect. Perhaps before he casts stones at other members for their actions, he should take a good look at his own. I would think his actions would be cause for removal before a committee member missing a couple of meetings would be.

    3. Lori is OK with Mayor not being at open mic but has a problem with Charlie leaving when she rehashes point made in past?

    4. Yes, I do have a problem with a committee member getting up and walking out as someone gets up to speak. Also, it does not (or should not) matter what a person is speaking about at open mic. It is unprofessional, disrespectful, and childish for a committee member to get up and walk out simply because he/she does not agree with or like what the person has to say. For the record, I was not rehashing a point that was made in the past. I was stressing concerns and asking questions many people had and actually still have today, because they still have not been answered.

    5. i was feeling sorry for charlie because he spoke up and that is what we want to see. but Lori has a point. Charlie can't listen to others but wants to be heard. until then, maybe he'll have more respect

  3. Lynn officials are more embarrassing than Saugus officials.

  4. Why is it cheap Stanley? Coppola doesn't show up to a job she's elected to do, and when she's called on it she muddles an excuse and gets nasty. She sounds like the cheap one.
