Being at a HIGHLANDS COALITION meeting last night I got a whiff of some change in the air. KIPP a long running foe of HICO is slowly but steadily courting favor. Mine and many others position has not changed. No one likes that they suck money from the PUBLIC SCHOOLS all the while devoid of any real oversight.
That being said and it's a mouthful, KIPP has become LYNN"S only real community school. It is a GATED COMMUNITY, mind you but it is a growing threat to LPS. Funny thing is the direction of the current LPS system is killing off what were their biggest supporters.
