Word has it there is a nursing shortage at LPS with stories of shuffling coverage between schools leaving both schools with exposed times where they are left unprotected. Unfortunately these times seem to always occur at times of high activity and high risk. It's a matter of time until some little kid gets hurt. Oh well, there's always 911.
Why do we have this problem? Is it because of our UNDERFUNDED BUDGET that is supposedly at 100% if the DESE would just believe us? I guess will find out when the lawsuits start coming in. Do we have a line item for that?
Maybe it was a REDUCTION IN FORCE that was like was done with the 7 or 8 janitors who weren't let go because they technically weren't there the five years they were showing up for work.
