LORI'S BEEN TALKING TO OUR LEADERS AGAIN - ALL ABOUT MONEY
I am sure it is not just Lynn, but my questions were directed to Lynn city and school officials and they should all be able and willing to provide actual answers to those questions. Instead, they choose to ignore the questions they do not want to answer and as you know, the people they don't want to provide answers to. Claiming to know the number of students KIPP gets to keep funding for after they have left to enroll in LPS, but not to know the number of students LPS gets to keep funding for after they have left to enroll elsewhere is very convenient don't you think?
I am sure they could know the answer easily if they wanted but it represents a flawed argument on their part. I am against charter schools because I don't like education money going for anything other than education. Public money should not go into private pockets. That being said, the lesson to be learned is that over-regulation chokess creativity
Like it or not, as far as the state is concerned, charter schools are public schools. As a parent and taxpayer, I am much more concerned with public funds going to school districts that are lacking and under-performing, yet administrative salaries are increasing.
I think it would be fair to say it's not just Lynn.

ReplyDeleteThere is no arguing that.
