Honestly I never thought about it at the time of the devastation. You see I wrote the poem to be read at the HIGHLANDS COALITION Youth Festival at HIGH ROCK PARK all those years ago. I think my daughter ASIAH actually read the poem on stage.
DAVID GASS, director of the HIGHLANDS COALITION thought it ought to be put on a plaque and put in the INTERNATIONAL GARDEN at FORD SCHOOL. So it hung on the outside of the FORD SCHOOL ever since. Thankfully his quick thinking saved the plaque from the bullies with the bulldozer and relocated it to the COOK STREET COMMUNITY GARDEN.
After a little refurbishing work the plaque has found a new Home!
