Director of Special Ed position

Dear Lynn School Committee members,
I am requesting that some discussion of the Director of Special Education be put on the agenda
for the next school committee meeting.. Please do not view this request as a lack of confidence
in the current Acting Director because it is not rather a desire to have proper attention paid to a
vital position. Thousands of Lynn Public School students are affected.
If the intention is not to fill it but rather engage in some departmental reorganization, then the
public has a right to know of these plans and are owed an explanation justifying the perceived
future benefits.
I look forward to your response on this important matter and I am eager to share it with the
thousands of concerned parents!
