Dear Dr. Latham and members of the Lynn School Committee,

I am deeply troubled by what I consider an unacceptably slow response to the latest COBBETT CRISIS. Granted we are dealing with a school that is more than a century’s old building and breakdowns are going to happen. The thing that makes me the most angry was the fact that I did not see any ISD vehicles in the background or a school spokesperson addressing the problems on camera.

While it may be true that you can’t control who a real news organization puts on camera, considering your past record handling crises I am not confident you can blame lack of editorial control. No doubt there will be plenty of speculation this would have been handled much differently if L:ynn Woods or Shoemaker was involved. Often it seems that the poorer minorities don’t get the same level of attention!

I look forward to you insuring that this doesn’t happen again Look on the bright side, won’t fixing the problems count toward the net school spending requirement?

Sincerely,

Stan
