You know what would be nice?If we had a page (more like a note or maybe an addendum) in the LPS budget that clearly listed the number, type, and where the money goes to that detailed the total of all the grants we get. It would do a lot for transparency, just sayin.
It sure would make life easier for us dumb ole poets who are not schooled in the fancy doublespeak of accounting. That we wouldn't have to scour the whole budget for embedded clues. We could all know what we are getting, how much, and in particular the what for.
That last part is especially important so we could all see just how the TITLE 1 money could be JUSTIFIABLY spent there. I have a feeling its something like being considered the executor of an estate. You skim some off the top for doleing out the cash. Maybe CHUCK could chime in since he is leaving the LSC to concentrate on his LAW practice specializing in ESTATE PLANNING. I sure am going to miss him.
