Opposition mounts to Munroe school site
Maybe it did, just not for what you think. I was talking to someone who was outraged at the thought of ANOTHER Charter school. How could this happen they asked? "We just had an election. The voters in MA voted said NO on 2.",Well KEEPING THE CAP may sound nice to some people but that wasn't a complete moratorium. There still can be I think 12 new schools or expansions a year already on the books. You can count all the votes you want anyway, it's the money that matters. Guess what? Maybe it used to be but it's not yours now.
Hey all of you YES voters, I thought you cared about overcrowding? KIPP people were your "brothers in protest" in the effort to get two new schools. Won't this help overcrowding a little? LOL. This plan was well in the works before any vote was cast.
Funny to hear the location argument now. Seems like everybody has a back yard. The argument that it wouldn't be appropriate in an :ART" district is the MOST hilarious. If you truly cared about the sanctity of creativity that would make it the perfect location. What better place to get an appreciation od the "ARTS"?
I guess some people would rather have their kids next to a graveyard than be exposed to the ARTS.
NOW I MAY NOT LIKE CHARTER SCHOOLS BUT I HATE HYPOCRITES WORSE.
