PROFILE IN PATHOS

She was just doing her job. It's what she is paid to do and well paid to the tune of six figures. She presented to the LSC a shell of the DRUG AND OPIOD policy that the DESE mandates every school district passes for next year.

It's a replacement of an existing policy that has been tweaked due to the overwhelming crisis in addiction that now exists. In fact there was such a scramble to put something new together it is incomplete. A vital component, a more defined curriculum component hasn't quite been put together yet. They want to have more TEACHING (in light of what's happened here I am trying to keep a straight face), you know:

For Date: 06/05/2016 – Sunday
0017 Initiated – MOTOR VEHICLE STOP Arrest(s) Made

Does this count as graduate study if it was enrolled in before the new DRUG policy is actually put in place?

  1. Now this is one position LPS desperately needs a more qualified and diligent person in. LPS is not in compliance in so many areas it is ridiculous.

    1. Trouble is the DESE does not care. They would rather ignore than enforce laws and/or policy! Rocking the boat takes political will.

    2. The DESE could definitely improve on their oversight of districts and local municipalities, holding them accountable when they do violate laws and regulations and ensuring those responsible for the violations face real consequences rather than penalizing the students, teachers and other school staff by withholding funding and forgiving net school spending debts.

    3. In Lynn's case I believe that was an empty threat. Judy called their bluff and they not only backed down but cowered. I believe if I hadn't contacted the Attorney General we would still be operating without a formal deal.
