Dear School Committee members,

I would hope that the recent resolution of the Net School Spending crisis would strengthen your resolve going forward to fight for what is legitimately due the public schools. By passively standing by allowing the Mayor to run roughshod over the school budget despite being warned of shortfall by your own Business Manager you have to a degree participated in the educational injustices perpetrated upon these children. No amount of negotiated settlement can undo the damage, the extent of which may not be known for years.

Going forward I would hope that you approach the budget process with much greater scrutiny and currently I urge you to demand a detailed accounting of the expenditures of the NSS resolution so as to maximize and insure adequate benefits for the students of Lynn.

Sincerely,
Stan
