SIGNS, SIGNS, EVERYWHERE THERE'S RESIGNS

More than meets the eye
That's what bewildered MUSTANGS cry!

Through the passage of a BOND, a new home to buy.
All that is left now is to wonder why.

Of shock and sadness we're told
But really the FAKE tears are getting old.

Thanks to a bully many a futures sold
And innocent students left out in the cold.

DO YOU REALLY THINK THE PRINCIPAL WOULD HAVE VOLUNTARILY RESIGNED 10 DAYS AFTER THIS?

SCREW THE RENEW,WE NEED SOMEONE NEW!

The SHOCK suffered by the LYNN SCHOOL COMMITTEE:

most committee members said they learned the news while browsing their email accounts Tuesday morning and opening Latham’s email.

just goes to show how out of touch they are with the going's on of the SUPERINTENDENT. Mind you we are on the cusp of building a 92 MILLION DOLLAR school that he was to be the head of. What should have been a DREAM must have turned into a NIGHTMARE.

It is time for JUDY to step up and take an interest in the schools lest she find herself MAYOR of a GHOST TOWN. #marshallmess

I TOLD YOU SO! #marshallmess

Principal’s resignation stuns Lynn

This has to raise questions about DR. LATHAM'S leadership ability. Having TWO key principals resign on such short notice. Plus this is after one at DREWICZ left. I wonder who is left to be on the TRANSITION TEAM for MARSHALL or if FORD was just singled out.

JUST REMEMBER, YOU HEARD IT HEAR FIRST!

ALL ABOARD FOR SUDDEN DEPARTURE

I wonder how the voters are going to feel that now that the 93 MILLION DOLLAR BOND has been approved that the MAN they thought was going to lead the NEW SCHOOL has been BULLIED OUT?

Why would a man leave the chance to oversee construction of the WOTRING WING?

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

If RICH leaves then ALL THREE middle schools will have experienced turnover at the TOP in the pasttwo years. Last year the much loved principal at CALLAHAN was given a verbal beat down on the way out. Now I have no comment on CRANE at FORD other than to say there was a loss of 20 some odd years of leadership.

THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN AFTER ONE SOURCE, NOW I HAVE TWO# MARSHALL MESS

I must confess
I hear of an impending mess.

For now I must be quiet
Less I start the coming riot.

BOMBSHELL BREWING

I hope my sources are wrong or if they are right then the public outcry will be so GREAT that the pressure becomes so great that the good DOCTOR begs him to take it back.

I have heard from multiple sources that:

DR. COWDELL, PRINCIPAL OF MARSHALL HAS RESIGNED!

If this is true it would be a travesty. I have IMMENSE respect for DR. COWDELL even though HE TESTIFIED on BEHALF of DR.LATHAM at the ill-fated PUBLIC HEARING. I will comment more when I learn a little more but I got to get this out there.

POSITION OF TRANSITION - ELIMINATION OR VINDICATION?

Great board meeting tonight with the HIGHLANDS COALITION. We are beginning to make POSITIVE strides with new organizational restructuring. It has become a much more formal organization. Looking forward to closely working with city leaders including city government in collaborating on several projects.

Now it would just be better if we knew we had a home. In the past we have worked closely with the FORD SCHOOL but now that is all up in the air with the retirement of DR. CRANE. All we do is in jeopardy from the upcoming HARVEST FAIR to the existence of our INTERNATIONAL GARDEN. Hopefully tensions will ease once we get to meet with the TRANSITION TEAM. I mean isn't their job to see that things go SMOOTHLY?

LOOK WHAT I READ ABOUT ALL THOSE IMMIGRANTS WE'VE BEEN GETTING

6:18pm Aug 18
Even though Lynn claims to be getting a much higher number of immigrant and refugee children, Lynn receives far less than a number of other Massachusetts school systems even though superintendent/mayor Lynn received highest number of children in state . Federal Title 3 money is given to state and then state (DESE) distributes to school systems - Title III funds are awarded to eligible districts that have experienced a significant growth in immigrant children and youth.

TIGERS BEGIN TO PROWL!

Today will be the beginning of yet another season of TECH football. I'm sure the others schools start today too, but my son doesn't play for them.

Watching CHOMPS over the summer was fun but one can learn so much more being part of a team!

HERE'S YOUR CHANCE

Dear Committee members:

I am writing to express my sincere disappointment that Dr. Latham has chosen to circumvent the recently passed policy regarding the selection of new principals that by all accounts worked so well in the selection of a new principal for DREWICZ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. The establishment of an unprecedented "transition team" at FORD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL leaves LPS subject to claims of discrimination and racism whether warranted or not.

As I am sure all of you know, whenever you use a different practice or methodology in similar circumstances you leave yourself open to allegations and accusations, unsubstantiated or not. Hopefully one of you will reply with either a promise that this abuse of power will not be tolerated or a well-thought out explanation or rationale as to how and why this "different practice" is not an actual discriminatory practice.

As always, I will print your response in its entirety if you choose to respond.

Sincerely,

Stanley Wotring

AN END-AROUND THE PATRIOTS WOULD BE JEALOUS OF!

Recently the Lynn School Committee,I believe, unanimously approved a more representative framework for an interviewing committee for the selection of new principals. If  I am not mistaken, the make-up of this committee was originally put forth by DONNA COPPOLA,who just happened to be the leading popular vote-getter last election. For the life of me I can't remember who was LAST.

Well, it seemed to work well for the selection of the DREWICZ principal. People seem happy with the selection. At least comments and numbers on that post appear to reflect that. I know it is FOOTBALL season now but is CATHE trying to do and END-AROUND the previously passed policies?

I am talking about this touted TRANSITION TEAM who have been put in place from the outside to do an inside job on those people of the HIGHLANDS. Has there been an effort to reach out to the HIGHLANDS COALITION who have been an integral partner with the school, making it a school that is truly reflective of the community that it serves? Not to my knowledge and both my son an I sit on HICO'S board.

Instead they bring in outside mercenaries with questionable agendas undoubtedly soaking up CONSULTING FEES that could arguably be better spent in the classroom.

WHERE IS THIS MONEY COME FROM?

LYNN COULD LEARN A LOT

FINALLY! THANK YOU DR. MARK MANCHIN for putting the Harrison County Board of Education on Facebook! The previous superintendent refused to see the value in being able to communicate via social media with parents and the general public. We would encourage ALL PARENTS, school employees and community leaders to go to the school board's new Facebook page and click on "LIKE" to keep up with official news and notices from the Harrison County school system!

TRANSITION PROTECTION?

Some sources are saying there has been an ADDITION to the TRANSITION TEAM at FORD. This extra person has been identified as JOHN LAUBNER. That would mean a TOTAL of  FOUR outside people brought in to complete the TAKEOVER.

Still no one who has some standing with the school or with the HIGHLANDS community. Hopefully for the kids sake this EXPANDED TEAM will see fit to meet with some of the community people who have been involved with the school. I understand if they don't want to meet with me. I mean, I think I must have cooties because I can't even get a letter answered. I guess people must be afraid of something.
